The opposite is true Keith - I try to get sensible debate going.
The problem here is that some do not know the difference between making statements and indulging in debate. You are one of the worse offenders, you will make a statement of belief and refuse to substantiate it with reason when challenged by an opposite viewpoint. Conversely you will take someone elses reasoned point, one with substantiation, then make an opposing view without substantiation or providing any contrary evidence on the other person's substantiation.
You seem to consider beuing challenged for reasons or substantiation as trying to stop debate - it is actually the direct opposite. Its trying to get a sensible discussion going - usually to no avail.
Peter - you are correct on the basis of 'if the cap fits' - I actually give Keith and others here though the benefit of the doubt, that they know the reasons and the terrible mess Labour created (it has been explained on here often enough after all) and it is only their political affiliations that mean they are trying to defend to undefendable... My comment were directed more to the general non-politically aligned public.
