I doubt our one will get any as the Minor Injuries unit coped well last winter and it doesn't have any beds in. I notice that Deal doesn't get a mention but Folkestone does.

I only arrived in 2002 and as far as I could see it had an X -ray unit, minor injuries bit and a birthing section, not much else though. There were plenty of signs to departments that no longer existed and according to the local press, meetings open to the public where important people in the health industry came to "listen to our concerns"!! Going from memory a lady called Pauline Major and a chap called Terry Nunn(don't know what happened to him) were fighting the corner of Buckland Hospital. The MP at the time paid lip service to saving services but knew what the eventual outcome would be.
