many people will buit good that doctors have this alternative that avoids each wasting each others time.
i have had two telephone appointments with my quack, mind you he did say that he did not like the look of me.

In some respects, patients have IT information about themselves and their illness. Jean has kidney failure and attends regular meetings with her consultant at KCH.
They have developed "Patient View, whereby patients can access their records via the internet and see what has been said about them, what their latest blood-test results are and almost antything else they want to find out.
I believe there is also the facility to ask questions too. I don't know if this applies to other patients with similar long-term chronic illnesses.
There have been many times I wanted to talk to my Doctor (phone or email would have sufficed) to ask a question, but the reception staff simply would not allow it, so there has to be a change at the ground-floor too, on hw practices are run.
Is there not a danger that if Doctors are taking time out of their busy days to answer emails/ phone calls from patients, it's less time for face to face appointments with their patients ?

It seems a good option but cannot replace a face to face.
