  I thought we already had a well respected, if expensive, brand that trades around the globe and yet even with it's world-wide earning the domestic cost rises year upon year, curtailed only as a matter of political expediency...the BBC.

  The profits to be ploughed back into domestic care and the financial 'risks' to be taken on by the private sector.
  
  Setting to one side the occurrence on these pages of complaints related to medical care delivered by those whose knowledge of our native tongue is not all it could be and factoring in, of necessity, the 'fact' that as we have been teaching Mandarin to schoolchildren for some time now many of those same children will now be major players in the medical professions. For it surely must be so?
  
  Perhaps it is best that we wait until the US elections are over to see whether the Health Insurance industry is to driven from those shores to seek out suckers further afield.
  
  That Andy Burnham claims authorship is yet more proof that the Red and the Blue dance cheek-to-cheek, and what do two cheeks make if not one complete arse?
