15:5280281a sign outside states that an "eyebrow threader" will be operating in there soon, 3 days per week, monday, wednesday and friday.
i know very little about this craft and wonder if there would be a big enough demand in dover.

15:5580284It is a bit beyond me, but I saw something like this at Bluewater I think - being done very publicly, a trimming of the eyebrows. I think.
I think if it were me, I would prefer a trim in private, so to speak............oo-er missus.

19:1680335it is indeed an eyebrow shaping, i must say i prefer to go in and have them waxed in a private room
apparently threading is less painful though...

13:5580479I find it a bit disturbing that under the sign saying Eyebrow threaders open is another saying, experienced eyebrow threader wanted.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

14:1180480We saw it being done on The Family last year, fly-on-the-wall series about an Asian family. It seemed a thread was wound into eyebrow hairs and then they were pulled out. Ouch.
My eyebrows are taking on the Dennis Healey look as I get older but I think I'll stay away.

21:3980589Sounds good, we had to travel to Canterbury before to get this done for my daughter. It's quick and painless and long-lasting and much less dangerous than wax near the eyes.
Oh Boy!, That'll be the day.........

00:1080627I have got one of the old fashioned barbers. When I have a haircut he trims my eyebrows and also gets rid of any hair popping out of my ears. I do my own nostrils

. Too much information I think.

00:3080629If you visit a properly-trained barber they will singe nasal hairs and take out any protruding hairs from your ears and trim your eyebrows if requested. All part of the ritual of visiting a barbers.
Threading is an ancient art about which there are various claims of it beginning in China, India or the Middle East. A cotton thread is run back and forth over the skin snagging the hair and pulling it out by the root. Anyone not properly trained in the art could quite easily cut the skin.
One of the most popular items we sell is a beauty tool called Epicare which removes unwanted facial hair without pain very easily. This is aimed mainly at women though some men do buy them

not advisable to use on the male moustache area!
