What I was saying Roger some jobs are going,that is not a surprise,but I have not said what jobs are going,PW said 30 jobs will be going months ago,confirmed by the C.E. The meeting I was at last night was a Public meting on the budget.
The Council is of course with shared services are losing staff to Almo's Arm Length Management Organisation,and with shared services will reduce the numbers from over 450 from a year ago to about 300 in the new budget.But that doesn't mean that all those staff are being made redundant.
Some have already left,some will be transferred some to the Almo's some to shared services but some will lose thier jobs.
Roger it is not Labour spin it is because I listen,I am on the Scruity committee and we look into these things,we also found out it is propose to do away 2 Cabinet positions and take a 10% cut in Cllrs allowances,you haven't spent hours looking at the Budget proposals and you didn't attend so we will not be voting en bloc for the proposals but come up with our own ideas.
It has nothing to do with an election,it is what the opposition group do,we study the Tories proposals and if we dis agree with them vote against or come up with our own ideas.some of which have been taken on by the Tories.But I wonder how many Tories will vote against.
Take the Car Parking will you vote for the increase or against,one Cllr from Sandwich spoke against the charges but when it comes to vote at DDC watch him follow the rest and do as he is told and vote for the increase.
