Those people who open a shop just for Christmas, should not be allowed to do so; it is totally unfair to normal traders who pay business rates and rent throughout the year.
They usually sell cheap rubbish goods, if any are electrical, there's no guarantee they are safe - who would want their children playing with an unsafe toy ?
They also (usually) play very loud music which upsets many passers by and you can bet that they haven't paid anything to the Performing Rights Society, so would be playing illegally.
A lot of the temporary staff are probably on benefit, so could be prosecuted; there's many reasons why these temp. shops should not be allowed to open just for the lead-up to Christmas.
Support our local shops, but not these temporary ones - if that's what it is.
