I went to a scrap yard last week to sell some scrap
The new laws say you have to produce your driving licence and your bank account details so they pay it into your bank account
I can see the reasoning for this with all the metal thefts
I was Talking to a friend today and apparently theirs a big hole in the legislation
If you go to the scrap man and tell him you haven't got an address he can pay you in cash
So if you go out rip the roof of the church go to the scraper with your Mickey I D licence, away you go cash in your pocket
MPs need to give them selves a big pat on the back for that one

I don't know the friend and cannot fathom what 'apparently' might mean. That only leaves the legislation to look into.

I can quite believe this as it takes into account the guys that trawl the streets with shopping trolleys collecting discarded car batteries and aluminium cans.
Whether such a line would work with tonnes of lead on the back of a lorry, or a Henry More on a skateboard, I'm not so sure.

If you give them wriggle room ,the more tainted of them will wriggle
I sympathise with the stigg of the dumps collecting from the streets they do a good job provided there not burring of the plastic and rubber
But they can get a post office account for benefit payments,
This can be used for scrap payments,It goes in the same day
Metal theft is just not about church roofs and war memorials
Its railway signalling the neutrals from the grid substations
And locally the emergency generator feeds at Ashford hospital
