Now that Peter and Kathryn have vacated the premises, the new owners of Blakes have restarted the ground-floor restaurant.
There's some great dishes on offer for lunch-time and evening dinner.
Starters such as Pan-fried King Prawns and Baked Portobello mushrooms
Side-dishes such as garlic bread - with/without cheese and breaded mushrooms with a dip
Main dishes like quality steaks done in various ways, surf n' turf, beef stroganoff
Ploughmans, chicken dishes, fish, pasta and various sandwiches and great desserts.
Give them a try - you'll be pleased you did. Call 01304 202194 to book your table

That's very interesting Roger. Once again good luck to the new enterprise. Will certainly be popping in in due course and the business should attract all the regulars. Good luck to them.
Wasnt sure...are they new owners or just leasing/renting?

Not sure Paul - leasing I think, but as Peter looks in from time to time, he'll let you know.

Leasing, Roger. We wish Kadrin, Jessica and Joseph all the best. We were impressed with their menu and wine list; they seem to be going for quality but at a price 20-30% below the competition.

No Sue, they have two or three others, in the Dartford/Swanley area.

Let's hope their timing is better than ours. When we bought Blakes in 2005 we were promised by the developers that the St James development (DTIZ) would be up and running within 18 months. Here we are 7 years later and not a crane in sight.
