The post you are reporting:
Alexander.
I do not bluff,
I do not mislead,
I do not misunderstand or miscomprehend what others have written to suit my own argument.
I have no followers that I am aware of, I merely chair an organisation with a large membership who support communitisation of the port of Dover as the best way to ensure that it is never sold to remote private equity and that it delivers to the communities of Dover and the surrounding district the benefits of ownership.
The DfT have rejected the DHB proposals and explained to you the consequences for the community of that rejection. They have also explained to you the options for funding community regeneration if the port's current status is maintained. No surprises - the status quo in the port's status results in the same level of funding for regeneration from the port as we have experienced over the last decade or so.
The DfT have not rejected communitisation as a valid option for the port's future governance and ownership, in fact the Minister makes it clear that such an option is an available option and that it should be properly considered.
Since DPPT's original offer was made in November 2010 a number of things have changed. 1) DHB traffic has decreased, 2) DHB revenue has decreased, 3) DHB profitability has decreased, 4) DHB EBITDA has reduced and the pension deficit has widened 5) the original offer was made under the auspices of the Ports Act 1991 and there is now a different legislative route - duh - of course it needs to be updated. I explained this to you on a previous post on this thread and in posts on other threads that you choose to ignore or misunderstand.
The facts are as I laid them out in earlier posts to which I kept pointing you. I'm afraid that you still do not understand what has been written plainly for you.
At least we can now see that I was correct all along with regard to your road tolling idea and, in due time, it'll be seen that I'm also correct about the on going efforts to see our port communitised a la DPPT.
I'm only sorry that someone who purports to be so strongly interested in the improvement of our Town such as yourself is so vehemently opposed to every single project and initiative that will actually deliver improvements.
