This is roughly the same problem as we were talking about on the "next 2 years" thread. Although there is growing criticism of Cameron i see him as being as safe as houses in his position. So the 'frustrated' Nadine Dorries showed up in the front row..she hasnt forgiven him for that 'frustration' comment, and then we have David Davies who is one of the instigators , well I think you can expect it with him. He has never forgiven Cameron for beating him in the leadership election as he himself was a near racing certainty.. I hesitate to say that even BarryW seems to agree with me and with this line as shown in his column.
PMQ was on today and Cameron did his usual steady job. I cant see anyone on the horizon at the moment who could do it quite as well.

The Tories won't win an outright election with Cameron, and Osborn.
I, would be amazed if he was still there, going into the next election
They would have to come up with some very different far reaching polices to stand a chances of beating, the labour liberal planed marriage.
A 100% EU guaranteed, in out referendum would probably carry them over the line
Davis and fox, are very popular with the party membership
Davis would have won the party election, if he could have been a better speaker ,
Something he has been working on.
The party chose the posh kid with the silver Tung, because they felt the Blair affect.
And like labour and the Blair affect, they got a bull shit artist instead of a grass roots party man

Davis and Fox are popular with the 100 or so backbenchers who are regularly revolting..re the EU and so forth. Could they make a bid for the leadership?..Davis has shot his bolt but could Fox? I think the short answer is no.
This morning there was a statement from Fox calling for more Tax Cuts..ala Labour. Not terribly original from the new policy unit but there you have it..we all want that!
Keef you keep saying Cameron wont last. Well nobody ever lasts entirely..its just a matter of when isnt it!!?
If Cameron and Osborne dont fight the nect general election as the Tory flagship duo I will eat my hat. Boris cant make a move, he isnt even an MP yet.

It is indeed an intriguing scenario, the rumblings of discontent in the Tory party and the
distrust within the coalition will not go away,it will fester and spread.
Cameron and Osborne`s credibility is continuing to reduce with the public.
There are too many factors regarding their suitability and credibility to recover.
It does of course hang on how long they can last but the ball is rolling down hill not up.
Just an opinion......

And another opinion, cameron may well limp towards the next general election but once he loses watch the knives come out

that would be the most likely scenario, leaving the way clear for boris to be handed a safe seat in preparation for his bid for the leadership.
