  Welcome to Dover, marvel at our wonderful architecture, the first to really put you in the mood is our wonderful old cinema, please pass it carefully as it is in a state of imminent collapse. Walk into the Market square and see the fountain , we are particularly proud of that. Walk up the High Street it takes a long time to see the fine arrayof charity shops and building societies so allow yourself five minutes. Do stop somewhere for a drink and soak in the local culture like the odd drunk staggering about. Sit outside and sample the wonderful delight of fag ends being flicked everywhere. Take the kids they will love the swearing and the obsenities coming from the local bovver boys. Don't forget to give money to the beggars some of them really need the money to get another fix.
  Now tell me your higher parking charges haven't been worth every penny.
