Whatever the reasons behind these moves..well it really doesnt matter, because we, the public, are the winners, we are in a win-win situation when we see the Port becoming ever more involved in the town. We have carried stories about a number of involvements now and this is the latest...and its a good one.

The Kent Wildlife Trust are clearly thrilled with this new move, the total area of land involved is almost 90 acres which is quite a chunk for them to work with. To quote from the frontpage...

"This will be a long and difficult task but the outcome, the return of a rare, beautiful landscape, rich in wildlife, will be a treasure for Dover and its residents."

So sayeth the chap from Kent Wildlife Trust, John Bennett its CEO.
