  As someone who held this position I know what it takes to be the Mayor and quite frankly both Chris(Precious) and Neil(Rix) have both done an excellent job. Neil has combined both the Mayoralty and running a successful business bringing direct prosperity to the Town whilst Chris combined his tenure with being a very good parent to a child who needed extra care.
  The position of Mayor is mainly decorous and requires someone who is good at 'gladhanding' and looking good whilst doing so which most of the recent incumbents have done with aplomb.
  It should be noted that the good work done by recent Mayors was not always highlighted and publicised but I myself am aware of numerous instances of them.
