Yes to both questions, Chris Precious carried out the role better than any previous incumbents in my opinion by accepting all invitations, visiting charities, voluntary organisations, start up businesses and the like and promoting them publicly. The present Mayor has lacked that touch and according to many he has concentrated his time on what he sees as bigger things and neglected the day to day visiting.
