thought one of our avid soccer fans would have broached the subject by now of david moyes taking the reins at old trafford.
i think it is wrong both for the club and moyes, he will be totally out of his depth with the money made availlable for transfers and dealing with some of the biggest egos in the game. at everton he done a wonderful job on a comparative shoestring and his trademark was hard work and efficiency on the pitch.
at old trafford they expect non stop attack with flair and plenty of goals, this was not expected of him at goodison park.
with alex ferguson sittng in the stands as director at each game i wouldn't fancy being in his shoes.

Not a United fan so not really bothered but, Fergie has been magnificent for United over so many years and I am sure Fergie time for added on minutes will still be around long after he has gone. Moyes would seem an ideal fit for United to carry on the club in a similar way it has been run for so long, he will not devastate the backroom staff and bring in a whole new team as say Mourhino would have. As for the money side of things, yes it will be much more than he is used to but still small in comparison to the big European Teams and Chelsea, they have big debts and the stockmarket to satisfy.
As for Fergie sticking his nose in I just do not see that happening, he would not have taken it and I am sure he would not expect Moyes to.
Be interesting to see how the league shapes up next season, perhaps a lot closer than this year?

can't see him lasting a season martin, a much more outgoing personality is needed for the job - the special one for instance.
even if fergie doesn't interfere, moyes will always be aware of his presence.

shame realy, and a hard act to follow
moyes is a very experienced geezer.
the last thing that UTD want at this time is to go like CITY chopping and changing managers.
Through thick and and thin, and relegation after relagation iv been a life long QPR fan
But a whites supporter!!!

Past years martin, yes, lol
but iv always gone for the underdogs i suppose.
but it is about not jmust supporting a side because they have loads pf dosh
Although this season even QPR showed, its no good just throwing loads of money at a club, or overpaying players
you can still be relegated!!

As a City fan I'll just sit back and enjoy the stress experienced by the United Camp!
Never give up...
