New Business Support Manager

  I just heard today that Spencer Cork has now left Dover Business Support/Chamber of Commerce and they have a new Manager, a chap called Jez Silcock.
  
  Came as a surprise to some Chamber Board members.
  
  It was very quick too to get a replacement, Spencer only left a very short time ago. I wonder who does the hiring and firing now ?

  Jeez! (or should I say Jez) that was quick, Spencer had only enough time to get a feel for the job, as you say Roger his replacement was fairly fast to say the least

  didn't last as long as you roger, possibly got paid more though.
  
  the job sounds like a posioned chalice, might be best that jez does not take his coat off straight away.

  This is no surprise and Spencer remains with the Chamber in charge of communications. The Chamber was pre-warned, ready, prepared and organised for the handover.

  someone needs to be in charge of communications, not been the strong point of the chamber in recent times.
  
  incidentally if the chamber was pre-warned that would mean that mr cork was planning to depart.

  Pre-knowledge is a more accurate expression to use. Spencer did a first class job and in his new role he will be an even greater asset to the local business community.

  Incidentally, as Spencer is a DJ and from a posting above, this Jez is from Margate and writes for an online music site, they must know each other - is that where the recommendation for DBS Manager came from ? Is someone taking the pi double s ?

  Serioiusly Roger, you may now be putting together that BAZ as the chair of the c of c is fully supporting all these moves(including your leaving and the chambers view on your situation)
  
  He's opposing your view on this latest position.
  
  I realise you have political friendships, but at some point you need to realise hes not sharing your viewpoint on any of the issues.
  
  Bearing in mind your going to the employement tribe, you should bear that in mind

  Keith - you seem determined to drive a wedge between me and Roger. You do not know the whole story and there are some things that you will never find out. Roger and I are friends and will remain so.

  I have no intention of splitting youreselves.
  I think ROGER is a grand guy, and thats why I have E Mailed outside of the forum, and on here just replied as to comments made.
  
  I'm sure ROGER will have thought this whole thing through, and I do wish him well.
  
  As you say I can only go on the comments made on the forum, which is what I do.
  
  I don't wish to know the full case, but hope that ROGER is treated fairly.
  
  And that's why I made the decision to E Mail ROGER privatly.
