  A new beauty salon is the first business to receive a grant under the new Dover District Council Town Centre Business Grant Scheme - and the salon was officially opened on Saturday by the Chairman of Dover District Council.

  That was my first reaction but then thought that the "Port of call/Burger Bros" has been empty for some time because a landlord refuses to do essential repairs. The amount of the grant is very small and as we have very few places left to eat in town it is important to keep this business open!!

  Crikey Howard there are places to eat everywhere.Next to Brunch Next to Prince Albert .Two in Worthington Street. One in York Street several around Market Square,Two opposite Town Hall .Castle street

  #3, most commercial leases are on a full repairing and insuring basis under which all repairs to the fabric of the building are the tenant’s responsibility.
