    Thank you Vic, but not enough picture`s left now. This one of my father`s, may have been taken in the late 30s in preparation for a possible war, or it could`ve been taken in 1940 when he was on a gunnery course, for which I have his competance certificate, though I`m unsure if photography of this sort would have been possible at the time. Though wartime photography was strictly(?) prohibited, I have found over the years, a number of railway photograph`s taken by well known photographer`s in various books. Maybe it was just on or near strategic location`s that it was more restricted? Anyway, all on here can view a picture never shown in public before. are the building`s in the background recognisable as local and does this vessel look Royal or Merchant navy?
