Well I always say never give up in fighting for what you think is right.
What am I on about now?.
Well it is the controversial plans for the Whitfield development.
Over the last two years I have been saying keep the fight going do not give up on this development not happing.
As you all know most of the public that live at Whitfield do not want this development in any forum to go ahead, and as just one of the parish cllr on the Whitfield I am right behind them in trying to stop it going ahead.
As you see in the local papers last week the first phase were withdrawn from the Dover District Council,s planning meeting.
This does not mean it will still not go ahead but a hold up is a hold up and gives more time to try and stop it from going ahead, the more holdups there is, adds to the cost to the development to both the district council and the developer of the site.
In the end the development might just be put hold long term, so we must keep up the fight and look for all the loop-holes in the development to keep Whitfield as it is today a very nice place to live and still keeps it own identity as a parish.
