Keep up Roger!
Bonuses are there for those that are doing a good job...remember!?
Of course what your definition of 'good job' is does define whether or not you think this is 'fair' - depending on what you believe fair to be, or if you believe 'fairness' should even be a consideration in our modern world.
With this wonderful understanding of capitalist vocabulary we can justify all sorts of things, such as the riots of last year. We could say that the looters did a 'good job' as they all got lots of things for nothing, albeit at the expense of others.
However, with any kind of emotional intelligence we all know these kinds of acts to be 'wrong' through collectivity - literal common sense. And it would be quite right for us to be angry by such activities as bonuses to those that rip off the general public.
Let's not forget our rail system is a shining beacon of privatisation. We better hurry and privatise more!!! Without wanting to get too maslovian about the whole thing, it seems that the powers that be are hell bent on privatising our ability to provide our basic needs, homeostasis etc. It's no wonder people get so hacked off with the 'we're all in it together' rhetoric.

morality seems to have gone out of the boardroom window.
they announce their impending "bunce" the same week the company pleads guilty to being responsible for the death of two school girls.
4 billion used oncers are given to them each year from the grateful taxpayers.
maybe the passengers around the country using rail replacement buses should decide if they deserve a bonus?

It really time to get rid of bonuses and just pay the top brass an increased salary unless there is a marked improvement as I think Ross suggested on another thread.
What has this man done to increase the joy of travelling by train, they are still crowded in the rush hour and prices have increased by more than inflation.
