  Having said all that, and having agreed with most of it, politicians are fair game, as a forum such as this is a good place in which to hold them to account, and if they don't like the heat they should get out of the kitchen.
  
  We need strong council leaders who can make sure that the political will is not frustrated by the administrative 'won't'. Capable as most of our councillors are, too many are scared to say 'boo' to the officer geese.
  
  Oh, and I reserve the right at all times to be negative about DHB, Gordon Brown and David Cameron.
