  things have got worse today, the government is now talking down us and telling us how we can eat well on a budget.
  
  most people know already that buying fresh stuff and cooking it is healthier and cheaper than buying ready meals, hardly rocket science.
  
  just to rub it in they have enlisted ainsley harriott(possibly the most irritating man on television) to promote it.
  
  even the supermarkets are supposed to be joining in and offering discounts on fruit and veg.
