things have got worse today, the government is now talking down us and telling us how we can eat well on a budget.
most people know already that buying fresh stuff and cooking it is healthier and cheaper than buying ready meals, hardly rocket science.
just to rub it in they have enlisted ainsley harriott(possibly the most irritating man on television) to promote it.
even the supermarkets are supposed to be joining in and offering discounts on fruit and veg.

Something's gone wrong with my diet.
I can work 8 hours without more than my morning cup of coffee, come home and not be hungry other than for another cuppa.
And only feel hungry at night.
Money is so scarce it's become a paranoia: I need to save a bit and therefore count every pound.
The Government is so cynical. Their proposed budgets that people are supposed to live on are barely enough to buy only the cheapest food on offer.

I don't know about the health side of ready-meals, but both Sainsbury's and Tesco's and I'm sure Morrisons sell them too, but you can buy complete ready-meals for £1.50 to £2.00 each - meat and veg. included.
There's English, Chinese and Indian dishes to choose from.
So no buying the individual meat, or veg, no peeling the pots. or boiling/steaming the other vegetables, or making up the gravy, it's all there. Cheap as chips as they say.
No idea about flavour or goodness though, but they are there and they are cheap.

most ready meals don't taste of anything, that is why i bought a slow cooker.
no cooking skills required but a tasty meal every time.
