  Common Red Soldier beetle also unofficially known as the Hogweed Bonking beetle as it seems to be permanently, ahem, at it. Even though it looks formidable, it feeds on pollen and tiny insects. Here are two from last Sunday evening at High Meadow sharing their intimate moment with a moth.
