I done well in the A.E,passing a test after doing it.Then i came to the time of working in the wards,I found this a sad time as you will read later on. First I had to learn to make a Hospital bed not easy at first with hospital corners on the bed then went on to doing bedbaths , dressings and giving jabs to patience,s mostly in the bottom some were like leather. The matron was very strict and was a major, each day dead on 010.100 hrs it was Matrons rounds and we had to spend hrs cleaning and washing the floor etc before she got to our ward. Even the patient,s had to wait if they needed seeing to. We all and the patience,s called her mam even the ones that were in a bad way and ill.If they could they had to sit up in bed.she would look in all the bedside lockers and looking all over for dust.
