I trip over myself and the barrel of my rife dig into the sand
the rest of the lads went a head shouting and fire live rounds.
I do no more then got up and run catching up with them the next row of targets went up in front of us and we fired our rounds off and as my rife went off there was a bang and my rife barrel blow up and what a mess it was in parts coming off and all the other lads diving for cover .
Thank goodness done of them got hit .
Next thing the sgt came running up "Matcham you have killed us all what the hell went wrong?"
I told him I was sorry and went on to tell him what happen.
"Were you not told of the routine procedure if you had a blocked barrel?"
"Well "
"It is never fire your rife if you think the barrel is blocked you must stop unload take all rounds out and then and only then you clean not only the barrel but the whole rife"
"And did you carry that ruling out before you fired again"?
"No Sgt,I just got up after triping and fired a round off"
