At the end of each concert the last two numbers always was conducted by the Kneller Hall bandmaster Mr Sharp and the very last number which would be a very big number like the 1812 Overture with guns and fireworks going off or some very big orchestral composition and as I said this was always conducted by the Director of music of Kneller Hall and again as you already know at that time it was Lieutenant Colonel Mr McBain of the royal Scots Guards.

This kind of concert was the very best ones to play in and I think we all loved playing in them there was always a very full house with ex chairs put out about 5000 of the public there +the very Special Guest of the night.

Well it was before one of the very special concert that I was called to the R.M.S, OFFICE.
