17:0392868You always get a few 'trolls' posting Howard. Comments on such articles should always be treated with a pinch of salt. They may be genuine, but equally may not be.

17:2592877Unfortunately Charlie has again used the term 'seafront regeneration.' It's much more than that.

22:1292909As usual the good burghers of Sleepy Hollow are kicking off about the High Speed train as though that will solve all their ills and seem to imagine that it is a choice of one thing or another, not multiple things at the same time. Whilst I do not agree with Mr Elphicke's politics I recognise the efforts he is making on behalf of his whole constituency and seeking to gain advantage for the constituency wherever he can; whether it is the People's Port, or HS trains for Sleepy Hollow or support and investment initiatives for the Pfizer site.

23:2392925Why not all the above Ross?
Charlie's article is spot on and explains things in a manner that even I can understand.

09:2192950Ross, certain burghers from sleepy hollow are dealing with all the matters you cited but are doing so silently. Two ministers met yesterday on two of those subjects and other important matters not highlighted. Silence does not mean inaction. Just don't catch the same trains.

02:3893095If the high speed train goes to Deal, will people in Deal also catch it and stop driving their cars to Dover?

17:3093186Quite probably Alex and much more convenient.
Only problem with that it might diminish Dover numbers & that has implications.

20:4893224There is a balance to be struck that must ensure that the HighSpeed Service continues to call at Dover particularly to help with future growth of the town
