  Museums are wonderful places for young people if they get involved. I was lucky enough to live very near the old museum in the bowels of the Town Hall, and visited it frequently, and made friends with the curator. I got to see all the interesting stuff not on general display - I particularly remember the cases of butterflies - and I began my love of history, antiques and archaeology there. I was one of a fortunate few, the way museums operate these days, far more kids have the opportunity to see what it is all about.
