The best boxer the world has ever known has died at the age of 74,
There will never be a boxer again like him and a great showman to.
As he was boxing at the same time I was I would stay up and see all of his bouts,
And as a trainer I would try to tell my lads and show them just how great he was.
For a man of about 17stone he moved around the ring like a lightweight and his footwork was out of this world.
I will be writing a lot more about this great boxer later on and why he was the great one, some will say there was others before him that were as good as him in their day but they would never have beaten him,They were much smaller in hight and weight and never moved around the ring like he did,
He was the very first of the real big H/weights that could move and punch like he did.He also put the big money into boxing before then the cash they won was a lot smaller. And also it was because he was a showman with it no one, could talk a good fight like he did when he was young the public would pay out a lot to see him ,hoping he would get KO.
But late on they loved him and it was all around the world not just the U.S.A. He was wanted on all the TV shows and the top end of the public wanted their photo with him.
One of life's greats without question, great memories of watching him fight while growing up, tragic to get Parkinson's so young. Float like a butterfly sting like a bee
I was going to say more about this great boxer, but it has been on the TV all day and there is nothing that I can add to what has already been said.Only to say he will live on in history for a 100years and more books will be wrote about him.
