    The Conservative members agreed with all the main conclusions but disagreed with the single sentence that was about Murdoch's fitness. This, as PaulB said, was slipped in by Tom Watson who had fully pre-judged Murdoch guilty. Much as you may dislike the man, the grounds for such a statement are somewhat vague to say the least and this was no more than a petty 'get Murdoch' statement. I am not sure they were wise to do so, but the Conservative members voted against only because of that one sentence and that has devalued the report and made it partisan.
