    I must admit I cant muster up much faith or enthusiasm either for or in this committee. They seemed 'out to get' the Murdochs from day one with vitriolic anti News Corp campaigner Labour MP Tom Watson on said committee, and one of its loudest voices. Isnt this like pre-judgement before you even start. He was hardly going to approach it with a neutral eye. And now in their final report the vote seems to be split down the middle along party lines.

    I always felt Watson looked over obsessed on this...even using his own money to pursue it in America. Wouldnt his constituents prefer that he concentrate on getting them jobs and growth here at home.

    The 24 hour news channels are making a big deal of this, its a slow day, but surely its all beeen bypassed by the Leveson inguiry now anyway
