  The door is already wide open without any 'troughing' allegations against GP. I have have not yet read anything about GP yet so will not comment further about him, yet....
  
  Keith - no DC has not been caught out. There has been some rather contrived case put together, if he had not done this and did that instead he might have saved £22k over x years. Clearly this is a very desperate attempt to undermine him and is not a case of greed such as we have seen selsewhere. He has clearly not 'flipped', has not claimed for food, furniture or done anthing wrong of any substance. He has certainly not milked expenses the way many so disgracefully have. Incidentally they dont count the fact that he had previously paid down' personally £100k off a mortgage that saved taxpayers money. As far as I can see DC has not actually done anything wrong but he has voluntarily submitted himself to the party Scutiny Panel anyway.
  
  The other rather sad attempt to have a go is to suggest he should not claim expenses because he is wealthy. How many of you reading this are or have been in jobs where you can claim expenses? Were they means tested so you could not claim if you had personal savings and investments? No of course not and it would be outragous to suggest such a thing, exactly the same applies to MPs.
