Completely irresponsible of the man. Someone told me yesterday that the Stranglers Bar is tax free drinking? Is this true does anyone know?

Time was when gentlemen would settle their differences without resorting to 'plod', and it takes two to tango. The flood-gates were opened some time ago that sees the police intruding upon the business of politics.
I suppose one has to ask oneself, When was that place ever populated by those either 'right' or 'honourable'?

Nice one Helen

it is a absolute disgrace that we subsidise this alcohol fuelled behaviour.

Ha ha! I'd like to say that was deliberate but the IPhone autocorrect has to take the credit for that one...maybe it knows our politicians all too well, no doubt they use blackberrys!!

The man obviously has a drink problem which has not been properly addressed. I hope the authorities and those Tory MPs who wish to press charges have a re-think, allow him to treat this as a wake-up call, and get his life back on track. Putting him through the legal mill would be in nobody's interest; but one might ask: what were the Commons bar staff doing, allowing him to get into that state?
