Yes its always good to have the right gear. The problem is in all this hot weather as soon as you get off the bike its nigh on impossible to trundle around in all the gear. Even if you are nipping into the supermarket you boil over before you get through the till, so some sort of compromise is probably the best option...but not shorts and t-shirt.
I believe there is a new safety campaign launching shortly...I think ColetteB mentioned this anyway the other day. Always good to hear that.

Phil has a fluorescent jacket over his leathers here. I think he probably wore that for me as I was following him thru the leafy lanes of Kent. This was so I wouldnt lose him and get lost. Very bewildering those leafy lanes ...way too much for a lowly foreigner
