The problem is in all this hot weather as soon as you get off the bike its nigh on impossible to trundle around in all the gear. Even if you are nipping into the supermarket you boil over before you get through the till, so some sort of compromise is probably the best option...but not shorts and t-shirt.
I believe there is a new safety campaign launching shortly...I think ColetteB mentioned this anyway the other day. Always good to hear that.
I will let our oul comrade in arms Phil West do a bit of modelling for us here. Can you adam and eve it...these pictures were taken in 2006..strewth! where did the years go.
Phil has a fluorescent jacket over his leathers here. I think he probably wore that for me as I was following him thru the leafy lanes of Kent. This was so I wouldnt lose him and get lost. Very bewildering those leafy lanes ...way too much for a lowly foreigner

1. Use the A256 on a Saturday as a racetrack at up to 150mph to impress their mates.
2. Do wheelies off the Shepherdswell traffic lights to impress their mates.
3. Take the baffles out of their exhausts to create more noise and impress their mates.
4. Do 70mph down Chapel Hill in Eythorne on a Sunday afternoon to impress their mates.
5. Ride round the green lanes in this area which are supposed to be foot- and bridle-paths, to impress their mates.
Anyone who thinks that all bikers are responsible adults should drive an HGV through the Blackwall Tunnel during the evening rush hour.

After their pint they moved inland, but they appeared to have come all the way from Poznan, which for the uninitiated is in Poland ( I had to look it up too ). Although some have Austria on their backs as well. However they had clearly come a long way and needed a pint. Whether they are/were responsible bikers or not I don't know...I wasn't prepared to saunter up and ask. I didn't see the local UKIP rep down there asking em to bugger off back to Poland either...lol!
There was about 20 bikes in all...from the Black Rider Chapter..
They put on something of a spectacle as they prepared to depart (there is just a few of them in the shot above) taking up much of the road and attracting much interest from the wide-eyed locals, then with a thunderous roar up the seafront they went. Some sounds are just superb...

I think the ones that Peter refers to are just individuals not attached to a group.
