There was a snarl up there yesterday afternoon and emergency services were working alongside/underneath an HGV so possibly it was involved in that.

This roundabout is so dangerous if you are trying to exit onto York Street because you have no idea whether the foreign trucks entering from Snargate Street are going to give way or not.
A Bulgarian truck driver called TruckerBoy22 has posted a load of mobile phone recordings of his travels on YouTube.
The one linked to below shows him going round the York Street roundabout with two cars desperately crossing in front of him as he does not give way.
Despite having travelled all over England for over a year he thinks he is in the right and the English drivers are "bad" as per his comment:
"This is trip from Dover (england) - Dunkerque (france). In england have some "bad" drivers like this on 3:10"

That video gives me the impression that the truck rather liked the idea of being on the ferry the driver was looking at, his truck seemed to drift a little to the right.

Experience this nearly every day and you have to be so wary of the foreign lorry drivers.
Worse than those not giving way as the ones that fail to understand the ROUND in roundabout and cross over into the middle when going straight ahead.. .

Been nice knowing you :)

Video is particularly worrying in that the camera is clearly being moved around the cab whilst filming. Unless he had a passenger doing it he was filming whilst driving!

I saw this bike on my way home from London last night, lets hope no one was seriously hurt.
Just watched that video, Ed, it beggars belief that he thinks he is in the right, surely after driving on British roads for some time now he should know the rules by now. This roundabout is particularly dangerous as is many others around Dover, one has be alert to the foreign traffic at all times.

The above is, as it makes clear, a map of road 'accidents', I am not sure where it will centre when you use the link, but you can get results from any locale.

He is obviously a lorry driver who thinks because he is big he has right of way, even when he is wrong.
That camera was not fixed nor was his lane keeping, a lot of swerving around which strangely enough coincided with camera angles changing.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

it is drummed into us the etiquette of driving in france, the various things like hi viz vests, spare bulbs, breathyliser etc so a professional truck driver has no excuse.
