these pictures do not tell the full story but all along bridge street, maison dieu road and the car park flower beds have been planted over the last few days.
rather gratifying to see a retail giant contribute to the area that they make their profit from.

How long before the ignorant trample all over them just like they did when they were planted last time.

Oh dear! Hopefully they wont be trampled on Jan, but above all well done Morrisons for trying. Well spotted Howard. Above all Im liking the "Great British Price Crunch" banner...are we actually getting lower prices because of all the immediate competition?

I understood most of the supposed reductions many supermarkets offer, are not real reductions. 50p for 1 tin, or 3 for £2.00.
Roger
PS: well done on the planting (if the snow has gone for good).

I think Nationally Lidl and Aldi have forced the bigger companies to re think their pricing, everyone is feeling the pinch and want the best value for their money.

i notice that many supermarkets suddenly can afford to bring things down to a pound when poundland sets its stall out.

Good point Howard, they all seem to be promoting items for a pound.

The vandals or thieves have taken three plants so far along by the pavement.

sadly that part of town seems to suffer from that sort of behaviour as evidenced by the mayor's garden and the number of trolleys and baskets that end up in the river.
further along barton path also suffers as we have read on here.

I guess the flowers are no big deal to Morrisons when they charge £2.99 for small jar of coriander seeds and Asda only charge £1.67.
Oh and £1.75 for a bottle of beer which is 50p. more than most other outlets.
