Running Keith was beaten Black and Blue by some thugs in Dover, his ribs are badly bruised and he was so scared and confused he did not report it! We will not tolerate people hurting "Our Keith!!" so find out who they are and name and shame them. If anyone knows who might have done this please tell the police, or someone who will tell the police.
These thugs should be given up immediately by whoever knows who they are.

i have heard the name but do not know who he is.
He is a lovely guy who lives in Dover. He is warm and engaging and sees things a little differently to most other people. He is the last person this sort of thing should happen to, and whoever did it is no more or less than a bully and a thug.

There was a particular nasty bunch of thugs diligently courting violence in the town centre last evening at about 9pm, bottom of Worthington Street. However that does not mean it was them.
What is it with England and violence against the person? Sober, this country is stuffy and repressed; drunk, violent and aggressive. Two sides of the same coin.

Bern, where did this all happen? The link doesn't explain anything about an attack on Running Keith.
Did the attack take place in a street in the presence of hundreds of house-windows, while no-one bothered to phone the Police, or what?
As soon as I see violence taking place, I phone 999, and they come. I don't just pretend I can't see, can't hear, and don't know.
Perhaps you could give some more light to what happened.
People ought to know, that whenever violence takes place, it is their duty to phone the Police, and not shy away underneath the blankets thinking how they will say they were asleep.

it appears that reports of the demise of running keith have been greatly exaggerated, he was seen up and erm running about 6 p.m. this evening waving cheerily to friends.

This is an opportunity for people of Dover to show they will not tolerate violence at any level. The people who attacked Keith will be known and they need to either hand themselves in or be handed in but it will reflect badly on the town if they are not brought to justice.

It strikes me that Running Keith is perfectly capable of caring for himself and doesnt need the bleeding heart do-gooder brigade hustling him into some form of care programme because of this incident

Absolutely! The very idea! And this isn't all about one individual either, lest we go down the route of discussing another persons personal status on an open forum. This goes for many many people seen as "vulnerable", a term bandied about by many a social worker in order to justify their own role! A mate of mine is bi-polar and sometimes make use of mental health services and has to struggle sometimes to retain control of her own life, not because of the bi-polar, that is manageable and she knows herself well enough to manage it and use the right support at the right time when needed. She also has a demanding job and a full private life!!! But it is often the - as Ross so wonderfully calls them - bleeding hearts who want to step in and "help". "Help" is another word for "take control". Resist!!
My mate is so bored with hearing the term "vulnerable"! We believe it may be the only quadrosyllabic word the social workers can pronounce.........
