  Several backbench Tories in the past few days, since the election hammering, have regretted the coalition and have been saying they could have/should have carried on as a minority government following the general election. It would have required some strenuous and continuous deal making but it could have been done. It was pointed out, and something I had forgotten myself, David Cameron has never won an election. he didnt win the general election, and now he hasnt won the local elections either.
