Having read the following on FB and seen a video, it seems to have been a great success with over £25,000 raised mentioned. Tracy who organised it has confirmed the walk will be repeated next year... "Tracy Whiteaker Yes Jan Higgins 18.5.2019"

"Nothing ever happens in Dover, they say. There's no community spirit.
Well...yah boo sucks to that!
Last night, 601 women, men and a few teenagers walked either 10 or 5k doing circuits of Dover seafront, raising (so far) almost £20,000 for Breast Cancer Care. It was the brainchild of one amazing local lady, with help from other local ladies. As well as the walkers, there were local volunteers marshalling, registering walkers, leading warm-ups, handing out bands every circuit, giving out water and encouraging us. Two local photographers gave up their time to document the occasion. A local pub sold cocktails for the cause, a hotel donated water and provided cheap tea and coffee with free cake. A Dover knitting and crochet group made pink flower brooches and a lady made pink breast cancer awareness earrings to sell for the cause. The castle was lit up pink.
A huge well done to everyone who took part in this event.
Our community is AMAZING!"
