  There is a huge mass of uncollected black bin sacks at the end of Balfour Road at the moment, presumably not collected this morning by the crew as they had been dumped there. I assume they must have been left by locals who didn't want, or couldn't, use the new plastic leviathans.
  
  I just hope this doesn't turn into a weekly game of bluff between DDC and those locals to see who will cave in first - either collected or be forced to use the dreadful plastic towers like a dutiful citizen. An ever-increasing mound of sacks is the last thing anyone wants to see and could become a health hazard. We'll see.
