Mods and Rockers at Whitfield.

  On Sunday 31st March 2013 Dover Transport Museum at Whitfield are holding a Motorbike and Scooter show. Loosely billed as "Mods and Rockers" it is likely to be a much more friendly meeting than past Bank Holidays ( Though it is rumoured that the police will still be confiscating shoelaces!!). Normal admission prices apply, refreshments available. More details from the website www.dovertransportmuseum.org.uk.

  Good Luck Dave - hope it's a success for the Transport Museum.
  
  If they have some original Mods and Rockers from the old Margate days, they'll be in their middle/late 60s now, so won't be a bother, but a great nostalgia trip.

  I was one of the Trolley Boys(Mods) back then,at 60 I still can cause a bit of bov'ver, so I'm told.
  
  Great picture of an SX 200 Lambretta, worth some money these days.

  I was given a Lambretta sx200 back in the mid 70s.As i was around 12-13years old and too young to ride on the road,i stripped all the tinwork off and used to ride it up on the High Meadows as did most other kids from Tower Hamlets with various old Mopeds/Scooters.Lambrettas are worth so much nowdays.I wish i,d kept it but it was just another bike which probably got dumped when it was finished with.
