  Helen, thanks, but I took it to the shop and they thought they had done that for me but the phone still knew how to get round it!
  
  I spent half an hour on the phone this morning with a techy guy who finally knew what he was talking about (he had to call me back on my landline cos the signal kept breaking up!) but even he had a few surprises talking me through the menus - "Hm, it shouldn't do that" was a favourite quote!
  
  I remember reading some horror stories about Iphones when they first came out and people were getting bills in the thousands of pounds because they didn't realise they had apps activated when they went abroad.
  
  My next phone is going to be one of those with massive buttons that only does calls!
