This bird has been seen possibly in the Jubilee Way area and is a much missed family pet.............
LOST-MISSING-STOLEN? Lola The BARN OWL escaped a month a go and was last seen in dover, we have had information that someone living in the dover area may have found her and may be keeping her not knowing she has a family missing her very much! Have you seen Lola? Have you heard your friends/family maybe even someone in the school playground talking about finding new Barn Owl? If you have ANY information Please contact me. Any information will be kept confidential, All we want is Lola the Barn Owl back home with her family. Her ring number (on her leg) ends in 79U... Barn owls are wild animals and should not be kept as pets. They need to hunt and keeping them as family pets is cruelty unless you can provide them with live prey.

i must admit that much as i love owls they are not pets as they need to be out at night concentrating on which particular mouse they wish to devour.
i do wonder at the choice of name too, the kinks had a take on it.

Unfortunately there were no contact details given and I could not find any, the original post was on Dover for Dovorians so have mentioned there are no contact details.
This lovely bird might have been hand reared and not suitable for release into the wild for some reason I do not know, I just thought it was worth keeping an eye out for it.

We have had an Owl box in one of our favourite trees for three years unfortunately no luck yet.
We have not even heard one in Shepherdswell for years.

I read today that Lola the Barn Owl belongs to the Dog Warden.
