Gove....has been sailing close to being a member and this is his last straw........He has devalued Vocational
studies...it degrades and devalues a sector of society that provides a quality of life to us all and provides
enormous contribution to the treasury coffers...........it is a typical lack of being out of touch with reality by
ministers.
It will not be a finance advisor who repairs your frozen pipe tonight it will be a plumber ( will probably make
more money to)...........they did not cause the Global Finance Crisis..........they are paying for it......
It was an extraordinary misunderstanding of business/educational needs for a Tory to make!! In one simple paragraph he not only devalued some perfectly good vocational/professional learning streams (we are not talking courses in bum-hair plaiting or ear wax modelling) but also tried to remove some decent qualifications much better suited to employers than a string of not-too-hard A levels when it comes to assessing potential and skill.
Nice one Gove.....

Exactly what Richard Williams from DCCA said to me last week, employers want people who can do rather than just know things

Eric ( Willfred-don`t give him the money Barney ) Pickles member already but with several extra red cards
is in up roar with Dover District Council for raising Council Tax.
DDC do not have the money to operate properly for our community.
Their attempt to pass over their responsibilty of toilets to DTC is just the tip of the iceberg............they will
have to continue to offload other services in the future.
Dover District Council`s attempt at sharing services is fiddling at the edges.
It requires an Auditor with access to all the figures to assess the benefits of the economies of scale of an
East Kent Council..........
