The Statue has become very popular and is already having the desired effect that we always new we could achieve with moving it onto the Miners Way Trail.

Gary
Click the 'Add a photo to this post' link above the box you post your reply in. That should open up a new mini window in your browser and just follow the instructions to add a photo from your computer.

Hi Gary
Got your email and here we are with the pictures. Problem was that the pictures were larger than 2MB, thats our max Im afraid, so pictures need to be reduced below that size before uploading...nice pictures Gary, well done and many thanks as ever.

Really nice shots of him Gary, the snow's given the statue a carbon look.
Paulb - might be an idea to add to the link (Photos must be under 2mb)?

Paul,
Thanks for that, i should have known they were too big, i will remember next time.
As you can all see, the site is not finished yet, we are hoping to have it finished by the end of March. Still raising funds for lighting and disabled parking. Looking forward to the unveiling, all are welcome, i will let you know date.

Tony there is mention already that the max size is 2MB. When you click on the
"add a photo to this post" link
a box pops up
at the top of this box it says
" Add a Photo : jpeg only.max file size 2MB."
However it may well be worth flagging this up a bit more. Not able to do it myself as its part of the technical working system but will get my ace tech man Chris Tutthill to look into it, probably after Christmas now.
Yes the pictures are almost surreal there in the snow...it is a good statue Richard, used to be on Dover Seafront until recently. Gary will tell you more Im sure.

The Statue is, indeed, very distinctive in its new abode.

Yes it has been said many times, he looks at home and certainly has a more apropiate view looking down the Miners Way Trail towards our Mining Villages. Especially with the power station towers in his backdrop.
Thanks for all photo comments, I was passing him in the snow yesterday and couldn't pass without taking more pictures.
Richard.
