    One Christmas...way back in the 80s I treated myself to a new-fangled microwave and put a mince pie (a single small one) in for 3mins out of ignorance and the way us chaps do when we want to get the gadget out of the box and set up without reading 'instructions' - tch!

    The thing exploded and a friend in the living room was shocked to find that the TV came on all by itself.

    Pie was ROCK and welded to the insides of the machine and took an age of warming water up in it to clean it all off - a Merry Christmas!
