I have to say i have some concerns if thse moves are correct.
let me take the points one at a time;
1; i think teachers should be able to retain pupils, but without recording incidents
is a concern as this could make situation worse
2;increased penalties, although in theory it's a good idea, if it's for those on
low incomes will this realy solve the problem, i think not
3;not sure male teachers would make any difference
4; if teachers are to remain annonomnous(i understand why) you would need in
place a robust procedure to deal with such claims
5; i agree on searches at any time with good reason
6; not sure of the head having right to expel, but understand the reasons why
this would want to be in place, but would hope the governing body of the
school would have been a better body
7; i think the 24 hour detention notice is probably a good one, as it would be
dangerous not to tell parents there children are in detention as someting
could happen to them on the way home, then who would be liable?
Theres no doubt school disipline needs sorting, but with it requires more powers to
police to carry out there job
better sentencing
fear of going to prison
more respect for police
agencies working together
cor the list is endless
so
theres my starter for 10 lol
