  They show the standard bearers and there is one of an old Dover stalwart, Ben Ashton, who went to sea in 1940 aged 16, was torpedoed and took part in the D.Day landings and finished up as Senior Bosun on Townsends ferries. Finally our very own Collette.

  Bit too early for me Sid. I do only frequent the White Horse once or maybe twice a week, and there`s a good bunch of regular`s in there, though sometimes it`s very quiet, and of course Jeanette always has a smile. Email me if you ever fancy one in there.

  Hey Colin, a bit ominous that I mention light refreshment and you assume I mean the White Horse!
  You might have popped into the Premier Inn for a spot of tea and toast don't you know old chap.

  Here are a couple of ColetteB's pictures from the same day...these were earmarked for the frontpage but there is a wee bit of a backlog there and this thread is conveniently running.
